![]() Chapter 2A Chapter by Ces TanMom and Dad were fighting when I came home though and Greg’s
nowhere to be found so I’m stuck in my room with my earphones plugged in. Glad
I have my frosty with me! Minutes passed, I was about to do my homework in economics
but my parents’ fight is destructing me enough to even think about it. They’ve
been like this since we were kids but Mom threw her plate collections towards
dad the other day. Maybe that was something serious. Should I be bothered? Maybe not. I chatted a few friends to ask if I can come over but
they’re all in the arena. Watching the game. I sighed. I chose a sweater to wear and pulled it in then I left a
note in the TV downstairs I’m going to watch the game at the arena.-Sweet
After five minutes of driving, I reached the arena and I
parked my car at a restaurant near because the area’s jam-packed. Sure, a lot
of people came tonight. I bought three hotdogs from the side vendors and went in. I
texted Beth to let her know that I’m here. I struggled a lot to reach the place they’re at. Surprised
that Johnny B. is here too… Oh, Beth mentioned that she’s going to watch it
with him. I only bought three hotdogs for the three of us. I tried giving him
mine but he told me that he doesn’t mind but I still insisted that I’m going to
treat him in the diner after the game. “So the dinner is in you…” Beth whispered. “Nah I’ll only pay for Johnny B.” “Stop calling him that! His name is Peter” “But he looks like Johnny Bravo!” “You’re mean” “I’m not… I’m just messing with you guys” I rolled my eyes. She laughed. She always does because she can’t stay mad at
me. We watched the game silently after the scenario. Not
literally silent, of course we cheered and booed some players but we didn’t
talk to each other the whole time. Maybe because we’re too busy watching. This is my 2nd time to come to the volleyball
night and I’m surprised that I’m actually enjoying the game. After the game as promised, we drove to the diner and I
ordered tomato soup and hot wings for myself. I paid for Johnny B.’s burger and
fries and cranberry soda. I checked my phone when the server made her way out
of our booth. I have 2 messages from Mom and Greg telling me to go home
for dinner. I don’t want them to wait up so I called mom and told her that I’ll
be home after an hour and that I’m eating out. She said okay and hung up. Our orders were served by a girl our age. I think I saw her
somewhere but I’m not in the mood to figure that out, I just shoved my face
with hot wings. “You look like a pig” Hannah teased. “Thanks Yohana Bartolome. I’ll take that as a compliment” I
said sarcastically before laughing along with them. We continued eating and halfway our meals, Hannah extended
her arms with her phone to take our personal groupie. She posted it on
Instagram. She’s an addict. “Hey guys, Chloe commented on our groupie. She said that
Sweet looks cute. That doesn’t even make sense! Hah, she’s just trying to get
your blessing, she likes your brother! You’re huge, cute things are tiny. What
a B!” Hannah reported. What she said was the truth but I know that she’s just
jealous that even if I have hot wings sauce all over my face, I still look cute
to Chloe. Perks of being an Ideal Sister-in-law “Maybe, but Sweet looks cute right now, I agree” Johnny B.
commented. Beth coughed and said through gritted teeth “Girlfriend here”
We all laughed on how Beth reacted. Of course, Johnny B.’s
not trying to hit on me. He’s just trying to comfort me coz’ honestly, I’m not
cute and never will be. Hannah excused herself after finishing our dessert. I stayed
with Beth and Johnny B. for a while before finally going home and dropping them
off. © 2015 Ces Tan |
