The distance between a friend and a lover
Can be one and the same or go on forever and hover

A new friend to share poem and proses
With a stronger desire to share wine and roses

To learn of each other’s hope and wishes
Just talking on the phone while doing dishes

A friend who drives across town to bring you a hug
And silently dreams of lying naked with you on a rug

A friend who remember the first time he saw you smile
Not knowing that the first time you would kiss would take a while

For the friendship was new and full of hope and aspirations
His desire for her yields rapid heartbeats and respirations

She was glad and happy they became fast friends
His holding back was like getting the bends

She said time is our friend and I would love that too
I didn’t know what to say to that or what to do

So my friendship will keep you warm like a cover
Till one day you may see me as a friend AND a lover

Awe, I'm sure this person knows how you feel. Keep her close to your heart and be patient. Good things come to those who wait. She will see you for the wonderful, kind, loving man that you are. Built the bond and invest the time. She is fragile right now and not wanting to leap but shuffle :) Everyone can use a wonderful friend like this.
