In whispers

In whispers

A Poem by ChemicalMadness

i watched the trees topped
in certain
circular
frenzy

i thought

something in those leaves
just isn't
shaking
right

and when the breeze of you
breathed across
the top of
me
stirring my own
frenzy -
i sat hard

realization is the exhausted
dawning
of acceptance

unoccupied, the space above
the trees becomes
a beacon

it's clear now -
that ozone taste clings

even the spaces between branches
can sense storms
it seems

Oooh! I really like this one. How easy is to to describe a moment of clarity? A revelation? Not very, but you do it so eloquently here. Great piece!

the apprehension of storms of realization...and then knowing that before our leaves fall we must have acceptance of what that breeze indicates..

really excellent metaphor here.

How does one give critic to such a wonderful poem, why wonderful, well because it breathes of things inexplicable, such things that can only be felt and not seen, and beautifully you've expressed it especially in last 5 stanzas

As humans, we are selfish and careless and this reaches out to the earth, to the beauty that is nature. There is always a clinging sadness that rises when we realise the harsh reality that is. I love how this can be taken literally and/or metaphorically speaking. As a metaphor I see this to be about people, the fact that sometimes you can see the change in a person ever so slightly and know that they will do wrong or have changed into a completely different person, the use of "even the space between branches can sense storms" suggest that to you it seems so obvious, but, nobody else seems to notice. This is written beautifully and i also enjoyed reading it, great job! :)
