Haunting! I can totally relate. It's always great to read work so different than mine. Nice Work.

Having been in a similar situation relatively recently, this poem certainly made me pause and reconsider exactly what the key moment was before it all went sour so quickly. I think expectations dont always meet reality. Tensions build along with frustration, then for some insane reason, we may lose sight of the other and grasp that it's actually not "all about me", but other's have feelings too. I love how you unpick each stitch in the fabric of complexity. Well written :) Penny

i went through this a few times...what started out so perfect, turned so rough..
like carol king sang "it used to be so easy livin' here with you, you were light and breezy and i knew just what to do/ now you seem so unhappy and i feel like a fool"
sometimes we lose sight of who we are as a couple, and the more we drive trying to find our road again, the more lost and further away from it we get.

two people will always be just that...two individuals....as much as we can come together "as one", there is no escaping that we are singular beings with our own special alchemy that drives us...sometimes those elements align long term, sometimes short term, and many times not at all...
Hopefully you find something in some of my words here...If not, there is beauty in the music (which is not mine, clearly). Listen....always listen. more..
