reassuranceA Poem by ChemicalMadnessi found it there written years ago a book I never read a note I never found
open when needed
the indifferent light off the window rendered me a hasty apparition eyes the color of closed doors my heart beat violet uneven, reaching like the void could be touched and fixed, certain your voice would provide hands to steady my soul uncertain this letter only slightly more real than my reflection having come to be out of nothing smiled at me like everything real " i knew it was real letters the color of longing knowing we dream only in black and white
as if everything could be four times folded slid silent on the shelf obeying instruction staying still knowing already what was not yet waiting for me
open when needed
it was now even then, it was always now my hands, familiar with the idea of you worked in practiced measure unwrapping words i could not read until viewed in the glass in front of me
