I cannot
force these leaves from trees buds and blooms defiant will not spring free It seems today they know they see set forth to bring false hope like fireworks in May joined together pursed in protest they will not they cannot stay Mocked by pines towering, taunting unlikely captors surround raining down violating in yellow green haze poison pollen laughs condescension at such pointless protest they will they must confess divulging brilliant disguise laying fields of amorous lies at the tired feet of lovers so lost in waiting so in need of these our false celebrations Only in retreat will they see purple pedals pushed round proud stamen life impossibly proclaimed nature herself could not sustain every flower every leaf every heart every soul they will they must Fall down © 2013 ChemicalMadnessReviews
