Scars

Scars

A Poem by Chelsea

Can you look me in the eye and tell me the truth?
Are you capable of love?
You pull me in and I embrace your touch.
I sink into you but you look at me as if you're broken.

I want to fix you, save you, mend your scars.
But baby, I have those scars, too.
They are all over.
My soul, eyes, ears, stomach, hips, heart.
How do I fix these on my own?

You hold me with no affection.
You break loose when I try to hold tight.
We are on two different planes.
And we keep missing each other.
Passing glances.

I never knew you.
I never felt you deep within.
But you left these scars that burn for you.
They burn for you.

This is a pretty sad piece, but I difinitely like it and I can relate. I especially like the last four lines. They seem similar to my style of writing and seam very heartfelt. Keep on writing. :)
