Contest- Painful Exceptions

Contest- Painful Exceptions

A Poem by Chelseawords

all pain comes from exceptions
and all humans will expect
even with exceptions low
we feel entitlement to breath
pain that shakes you to the core
is the pain of expecting a ever lasting door
nothing is promised not the simplest of things
so be grateful every time
that your phone rings
and it's not the news of death

Of all the pain life has showed me so far
that one crushed my chest
33 years old not something we expect
but there we go expecting things that are not true
this pain never leaves your heart its glued
now all other pain seams painless
it feels more like a test
life hands me some pain
okay so what change shall I make next

Life is to short to take pain and turn it into dark
take that pain as it burns like fire and use it as a spark
use pain as something that betters you
most pain is not glued this I promise you
so when you feel it strong this feeling we call pain
remember your blessings
and don't expect to much when your phone rings.
