You've Taught Me

You've Taught Me

A Poem by Chelsea Osborn
"

This is how I felt, and feel, while learning who I really am, and how I felt towards those who help me figure it all out.

"
Mind over matter
Life over doubt
Helping a dream shatter
And helping spiral out
Waking me with ease
And not letting me fall
I've risen from my knees
But I'm not standing at all
I'm confused and lost
Yet I'm thinking straight
Everything comes at a cost
And it'll be worth the wait
I've opened one eye
And the other stays shut
I need to just get by
Now that I'm out of the rut
Some don't get it
And some never will
It's not just a hit
But an everlasting thrill
When you're out of the box
But inside the lines
You can't turn back clocks
But you can take your time
I can't turn back
And I can't turn around
I'm not under attack
But I'm not safe and sound
I'm doing my best
As fast as I can
Not acting like the rest
But I'm still just a fan
You've all taught me so well
And I'm thankful, indeed
But above all, I'll tell
It's love, I still need
