A short flash fiction story. Written in exactly one minute. For a contest.
The final moments of my life were the best I had ever had. Her eyes had shone down at mine with such brilliance I wanted to cry, just as she was. But I couldn't bring myself to do so. I felt so at peace, and I loved this feeling more than anything else. But in that instant I had also realized that with this peace came death, and with death came nothing.
I did this for a contest where you go to a website and they give you a word. You have one minute to write anything you want to about that word. I didn't think I would come up with anything, but as soon as I saw the word "Final" this little tidbit came into mind. Now I already have all kinds of ideas swarming though my head. I kind of want to expand this tiny five sentence story into something larger. What do you think?
Oops. Forgot to post the website. Just go to OneWord.com. According to the contest creator they only give you one word a day, but it seems to be working for me already. Try it out, you never know, it may work for you too.

Thank you for sharing this website, it was a very interesting experience. And your flash fiction here is very nicely done considering you did it in 60 minutes. It doesn't seem like random at all. You can use this to create a full story I think. It would be interesting if you start in in media res.

I love flash fiction and this is a good example. You managed to tell a little tale concisely. Just managing to take me there.
Well done.
PS. Since we entered into the same contest on this site, I will wish you good luck for a strong second place :)

Short, sweet, and to the point. And by sweet i mean in the sour way that makes it approach reality. Well done, especially considering it was done in a minute!
