Dancing On The Line

A poem of love, hope, and Faith.

Heal to toe, along the edge of the pit

Determined to win

I fight fierce winds,

as they effortlessly try to blow me in

In stillness I keep my calm, 

and move on 

Now stronger then the desire to fall, 

I call, "God please save me, save us all"

Just do what you must

We know that within time there will be justice, 

thy will be done

So until then, I'll just be dancing on the line

Dancing on the line with everyone between good and evil 

Smiling at the face of death in the darkness below, 

I know I shine

For I believe in mine

Our God, 

who's upheaval of the wicked destroying all the people, 

we await

As we celebrate with his children, 

the burning of the weeds, 

and the harvest of the divine

We shine 

Dancing on the line

If I slip and happen to fall

I'll reach for you brothers and sisters,

and call

"God please save me, save us all" 

Breaking my fall,

I'll grab hold and climb back to the top

Back to life! 

Back now under the sun, moon, and stars as they shine

Smiling, I blow a kiss into the wind

Thanking you, 

thanking God for yet another time

I'm still dancing on the line

Finally ready to take a dive, 

not into evil but the other side 

I'll close my eyes to be surrounded by goodness,

and all those of my kind

Never fearing,

while always hearing your call

Listening as I'm dancing on the line

I feel my toes lifting into the sky

Above me unaware to me, 

below me I still can see fine

While all around me and within me, 

the light still shines 

I wave goodbye for now, 

to all those still on the ground, 

who keep dancing on my lines

"Dancing on the line"--such a good line. I wish I had thought of it first!!

There are some grammatical errors which would clean this up and maybe some more line breaks would make it a smoother read. Other than that I really enjoyed this.
