Slipping Through Fingers

Slipping Through Fingers

A Poem by Cheesecake Czar
"

Recent senior year poem.

"

It felt so right,

I held you tight,

Never thought you'd go away.

It seemed so clear,

I had you near,

Then everything went astray.

Now where am I,

Am I to cry,

To make it clear to you?

No, tears don't persuade,

And words only fade,

But I can't help wanting them to.
