My Only Wish

My Only Wish

A Poem by Cheesecake Czar
"

Super cheesy, old eighth grade poem.

"

By morning's light, I'm up at dawn,

Ready and fresh like a newborn fawn,

From bush to root I love so dear,

I only wish is that you were here.

I  quietly eat by the river,

Never touch a lick of liver,

For life's sweetest meat is truly love,

And so I take to life like a morning dove,

Flying over mountain grasses cooled by dew,

My only wish is that I could share it all with you.

Happiness is only real when shared,

So come along and don't be scared,

For God's love is bright and true,

And so is my love for you.

About
Writing? I guess I do that sometimes. A writer? Maybe if I devoted more time. Writing, for me, is more often than not an outlet for any emotions I may have. I'd love to practice it more than I do .. more..
