Flying BeautyA Poem by CheekyChocoThis poem is about my pet cocketiel.See slow the
roost before she flitters scared, Refrain such
rapid breath upon her feet, Lest tight
remains her sunshine beauty bare, Becoming
bashful sightless but a dream. Two droplets
orange cheeks appeared today, Too deep
perhaps of Sun in dear detain, To dote
around substantial shine in rain, Today to
glint a tear of sordid pain. Perhaps not
open lest she peers upon, A perfect
prize the Sun instead performs Upon, to be
but thrown along the hot, But rising
Sun of savage outside morn. © 2020 CheekyChocoAuthor's Note
