You

You

A Poem by Chrissy
"

A poem for you.

"
I look into your eyes
And see through to your soul.
The compassion,
Love,
Heart,
And pain that encompasses you
Is bare; easily seen when one looks long enough.

You embrace me,
Holding my head and pulling me closer.
Being too short, I stand on my toes
Just to reach your shoulder.
But I don't mind.

Your soft, lush lips
Greet mine;
Spur of the moment
yet entirely expected.
My jaw in the palm of your hand,
My hand intertwined with yours.
It seems I have found perfection.

But I stop and think.
I recollect on all the occasions when I have been just another girl.
Nothing more than an object to please your fancies.

It's no matter to you,
For that's the purpose of the woman-
To be an object of satisfaction.

Do you care as much as I do?
Do I cross your mind as you do mine?
Do you not see the pain that surrounds me?
Do you not love me as I love you?

Of course not.

I'm not much of a writer. I'm not really an English guru, ether. But I do enjoy writing, reading, and exploring literature. Writing is an escape for me, as is prevalent in many of my pieces. I'm a hig.. more..
