Broken Together

A poem about the relationship between me and my girlfriend. We both have had struggles with depression.

 The jagged edges of her soul

like broken glass stabbing

into my heart

and its stony shell

 

I bleed feeling

cutting myself on the on the shards

of my mind

 

I hold  them up to her

She holds up her notched pieces in return

 

And we glue them together.
