Sky Colors

Sky Colors

A Poem by Chauncey
"

Sometimes, when I watch the sky, I wish I could keep those colors forever.

"
I wish that I
could capture
the colors of the sky

I want to keep
the baby blue
of a summers day
upon my shelf

Or the misty gray
of a thunderstorm
on the nightstand
beside my bed

But if I could
have just one
to keep in a jar
like fireflies

Then I'd have
the vibrant orange
of a dying day
resting on my windowsill
