Life Goes On

Life Goes On

A Poem by Chassitie Linnaea Nicole Snow

I let you into my life, and gave you my trust
I believed your were my friend, boy was I wrong
I believed your lies, even though they were simple things
I let you take that pride, I believed

Though after everything that would have knocked me down
I laugh as I remember, you aint keeping me down

I know your life, I know how you are
Its nothing to be jealous of, your nothing
My life is great, not perfect but just right
I have everything I want and more

I dont want to try and mend our friendship
its not worth the time that is wasted
you have no place in my life
I have said my goodbyes

As I remember how foolish I had been, to think that you were a good friend
I laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh
because honestly you make me look first class

Its not what you have its how you are
with you and your disgusting habits

I look ahead and see what you are
your nothing to me anymore nothing at all

for you and your standstill life
I keep passing you up
Life goes on

Profound and powerfully expressed... I like the conviction in the emotion here. Sometimes it’s better to move on and go with the winds of change. Very well written and good presentation!
