Heart Stake

Lonely days are happy nights

But sadness shows when I am by your side

Confusion, deep feelings

Thinking that it’ll never happen

Loving people

Caring

But nothing is expected in return

Who am I

How am I feeling

I am afraid to fall in love

First comes love

Which ends up fake

Then comes the pain

When I realize

I knowingly put my heart at stake

I want to be happy

But I am afraid to get hurt

I love a few people

But never again will I tell

I want to be happy

But I am afraid to fall in love

I love being by myself

I know then I’ll never be hurt

I wake up happy

And I laugh all day

I don’t ever want that to change

What does life have in store

For a hopeless romantic like myself

Will I be happy

Being alone

Or will I realize

That love is worth taking chances on

And then will I fall in love

Love can be great victories. To swim in passion is best days of a life. I tell the young people hold on tight when it is good. If you are lucky it will last forever. Remember take no chances. have no memories to think about when you are old and gray. I like the poem. The decision to open your heart can feel scary because of the possibility of disappointment.
