The Fateful Flaw

The Fateful Flaw

A Poem by Chassediable

"Cherish this sight while you can, my Brother"

But what does it mean, to cherish?
To appreciate something for what it's worth?
To remember that which is meaningful?
Or those who are meaningful.

I yearn for what I had, and forsake what I have.
Is that not the fateful flaw of mankind?
To cherish too little?
Or cherish too much.
