Better Days Ahead

Better Days Ahead

A Poem by Chasity Fannin

Sometimes I feel that the value of my words mean nothing.
I am not a seasoned traveler.
You write of different horizons, clearer skies, freed ponies.
And I am nothing more than a scatter brain with pathetic highs and lows.
I have only myself to keep me entertained.
The common thread must be that we have loved.
As all people love someone or something at any given moment.
 I fall in love daily.
Sometimes even, I fancy in the beauty of the butterfly but the ugliness of it at close sight.
When will I ever learn to dance because today is new and yesterday is but a thing of the past that I can choose to leave behind?

About
Borderline schizo, trapped in a world of ebbing waves of self doubt and illusions. The magick has all but faded. There is an absence of mind, a body of doubt behind grey eyes. I believe in fairy tales.. more..
