Whispers in the Dark

Whispers in the Dark

A Poem by Ancient My Enemy
"

For those aching for this.

"

Whispers in the Dark

(Let Us)

I hear you in my ear,

I feel your breath on my face

As we blush in the dark.

Our skin is touching,

Each goose bump reaching

For the air that keeps us apart.

I am holding you

Gently, tightly, and always.

Let us whisper of the future,

Of you and I,

And a life like this.

As our gasping breaths dwindle,

Let us stare at eachother.

Let us hope. Let us wonder.

Let us believe

That we can change

Ourselves, eachother,

Everyone,

The world

With those three words:

I love you.

"Eachother." Brilliant. Where did you learn that? Did you come up with that? Brilliant. And to do it twice... as if to say, 'that ain't a mistake, Prick." I love it.

You are a romantic. This is one of my favorites.

You paint a very beautiful image with your words. It's just so sweet and simple, yet conveys such a human emotion and need. Very lovely writing!

Thanks for your time, ChaoticSoul.
I had forgotten how romantically poetic you can be, and how much I love reading your work.

Merry Christmas, dear friend.
