When Your Memory Is A Cemetery

When Your Memory Is A Cemetery

A Poem by paradoxical
"

There are things left in the dark that we don't talk about, because forgetting was never really an option. Do you know where they go when they're not wanted?

"

There are things

left in the dark,

and only time will tell

if there will ever

be any justice

for those left in hell.

There are things

left in the dark,

left buried in my head;

hiding from the light,

hoping to rise

from the dead.

There are things

left in the dark,

things no one else can see.

They're quiet

and invisible

to everyone but me.

This is an older one. I want to change the last verse, I think. Anyways - Please let me know what you think. :)

Good prose. Like that. Flowed well. Quite enjoyed that. I liked the theme. Everything that stays with us is all but invisible to an onlooker. That the darkness stays with us a lot longer than we'd like. I enjoyed the poem. Thank you.
