leave feathers

leave feathers

A Poem by paradoxical

the birds left for winter
again,
an ages old routine
engraved in hollow bones
my constant apologies
to the air;
not hollow enough
but getting there,
maybe next year
but why come back;
why return at all?
leave feathers
for the scavengers,
proof I existed
