Everyone Heads To Church

Everyone Heads To Church

A Chapter by iAM A Princess

Tisha had got up and decided to go to her mother’s house. She laughed at how Jerry acted like he wish he could tag along. Tisha’s mom didn’t really like Jerry for some reason. She took his car and left him with the mini van. That gave her a good hearty chuckle she hadn’t had in the past couple days. Tisha could smell the eggs and bacon from the drive way. “Mama you going to make the neighborhood come up in here!” Tisha stated as she walked into her mothers living room. “Pull up a chair love, I made to much!” “Oh mama this looks good.” “Thank you baby.” They prayed and then began chowing down in peaceful silence for awhile. “Mama has Mind been by here?” “She came last night, poor thing looked like she was in mixed emotions!” Tisha loved how her mother could always tell when something was wrong and even know what it was sometimes before they told her. “She say what’s got her in that bunch?” “Nope but I think it’s something personal. I can tell by the way she holds herself.” Tisha nodded in approval and got up. “I need make a phone call mama.” “Okay darling.” Tisha went into the guest room and called Mindy. On the third ring she hung up and sweared under her breath. Tisha slowly walked back in the kitchen. “She didn’t answer did she?” Tisha smiled at her mother. “No mama, I don’t like this.” “Child me neither but I’ve been put you both in God’s hands and God has been good to me ever since.” Tisha hugged her mom and went back out to do a bit of grocery shopping then try Mindy again before going over to the church.

Timothy had finished his project and even did some extra’s on it. He got to leave work early so he went out and thought he’d hit up the mall and probably get Sarah an ‘redo’ ring and some flowers.

Mindy got even more despondent in the park. She’d been feeling sick for the past few days and worried that she might be pregnant. Then she remembered how good her life was before the affair and got upset. Crying on the park bench wasn’t helping so she fought herself to go over to church and see if she can see one of the ministers. She got their and no one was in except for the office workers and the janitors. Mindy was really beginning to wish she had a daytime job. She went over to the prayer bench and began slowly but getting deep into it.

Sarah had finished cleaning the house and saw that it was getting late. She had just applied for a late noon day care job at the church and had been working for about a week. It was early still but something was pushing her to go but she couldn’t put her finger on it. She was dressed and had the keys in her in 10 minutes.

Tisha got home and was unpacking the groceries when she felt that she needed to call Mindy again. This time she immediately got her voicemail. She almost threw the phone in a fit. When she saw Jerry coming up the drive way for lunch she decided she’d let him have the car back and get some advice on what to do. “Hey baby.”

“Hey Jer…”

“What’s the problem boo?”

“It’s Mindy, she won’t answer her phone.”

“Oh well maybe she thinks your still mad at her and don’t feel like getting into a argument.”

“Hmm that makes sense. But I want to talk to her!”

“Well have you tried maybe going to her?”

“I passed by her house earlier, she hasn’t been home since yesterday.”

“Oh no she’s not missing or anything like that right?”

“No because she was at mama’s house last night and this morning.”

“Okay well um how about you call someone you both know and ask them they might know where she is.”

“Yeah that’s a great idea!”

Tisha jumped up and kissed Jerry before he took the keys and went on his way. Tisha thought about some people for a minute. “Gosh mama don’t know so who else?” She was watching tv and it came to her like lighting.

“Hey Sarah! How are you?”

“Tisha! I’m good. What’s up sis?”

“You know where Mindy’s big head is?”

“Nope. But can I ask you something?”

“Yeah sure.”

“Did I do something to Mindy?”

“Um I don’t know you have to ask her, but why you ask?”

“Oh well she’s been avoiding me a lot lately. But even before then for like a long time she’s been acting strange around me.”

“I know she’s been doing the same to me. It’s years she’s been like that!”

“Why you think were talking about it now?”

“Don’t know maybe because she’s totally blowing us off now.”

“Yeah well I’m in the car on the way to church, I know this storm is awful but I was wondering if you wanted to come and help me out with something?”

“Sure okay, I was planning to come anyways, I’ll be there soon!”

“Ha you live only a street away Tish!”

“Well I’ll be there in the speed of light then ha ha ha”

“Love you Tish”

“Love you to Sar” Tisha got in the mini van and headed to church. She got a heckled look on her face when she saw the rain getting even heavier. “It’s been raining foreverrrrr!” she growled to herself before laughing and turning up the radio.
