Sarah laid in bed thinking bad about her marriage when she heard Timothy drive up. She ran down stairs but then ran back up. She almost fell when she heard his keys jig the door. “Sarah?” Timothy walked up and met her on the top step.
“Why aren’t you sleep baby?”
“Tim did we get married too young?”
“Age wasn’t a factor boo, I married you because I love you. I love you more than anything.”
“Why do we always have to prove our love though? How come we can’t be happy together?”
“Your not happy?”
“No Tim, you’ve been avoiding me a lot lately…”
“I’m sorry love, I’ve just been in my own world.” Timothy scooted over and held his wife. She leaned onto his shoulder.
“We haven’t had a moment like this in forever, it’s been years Tim.” She looked up at him and he shook.
“Sarah…”
“Hmm?”
“I want us to go off somewhere.”
“Go off?”
“Yes, go and do a second honeymoon.” She smiled.
“I wouldn’t mind it but what about the kids?”
“They can stay with Mindy.” Timothy grew another lump in his throat.
“Yeah! Mindy acts scared around me though.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah she doesn’t really talk to me anymore and when we do it’s quick and she fidgets.” Timothy wiped his forehead thinking of what to say to all of that. Sarah lifted her brow and sat up.
“What’s wrong Tim?”
“I just need some sleep boo.”
“Oh okay…” Timothy knew what it meant when she trailed off.
“But since the kids are sleep…” Timothy picked Sarah up and kissed her, she played with his tongue a bit.
“You had some chocolate?”
“Um yeah mama made some cookies.”
“You got to get me some!” They giggled and locked the door behind each other.
