Spanish Class Gives Me Conniptions

Spanish Class Gives Me Conniptions

A Poem by Chase Weik
"

My teacher wanted me to write a little something about our Spanish class. This was the finished product. Hope you enjoy!

"

Spanish class is what gives me conniptions

Confirming all my teacher’s predictions

Have no idea what I am doing

Failed all her work, think she might be suing

I can’t find my homework, say it’s at home

But It’s in my bag, no work to be shown

Black out a bit when she asks me to stand

I’ll botch the answer and she’ll reprimand

“What’s this conjugation? Could you explain?”

Trying her best, though I know it’s in vain.

Ignorance is bliss, but not for this class

I’ll need a prayer if I'm going to pass

I know I’ll never be a true linguist

Still find it tough to speak proper English

LOL! No, literally! I honestly laughed out loud at this. Bet she did too. :) I could easily relate. Especially to "I can’t find my homework, say it’s at home. But It’s in my bag, no work to be shown" The rhythm and rhyming were spot on. Great poem! Thanks for the laugh. :D

Beautiful poem Chase, really conveys the struggle of a teenage "linguist" and anyone in a foreign language class.
