My Window

My Window

A Poem by Charred Faith
"

My first attempt at poetry

"

She is my tether
To her world and
The little paned glass
Window
Through which I peer,
Frigid, thin, and cold -

A heart's breath away
From decimation
Into her heart
Into her mind and
Into her soul

She is the pool
From which my quill
Draws life and
The force that drives it

She is the vessel
On which
I ride through this life
And toward the
Greatest adventure and
Fantasy that I could
Imagine

This is an amazing piece!
I was drawn in to it from the first line, and was left wanting more after finishing the last. Every word seemed to fit in perfectly with the next, very expressive and very deep.
