The Pied Piper's Song

The Pied Piper's Song

A Poem by Charms
"

This poem was inspired by dogs barking in the distance close to the break of dawn. I was depressed and this is what I came up with.

"

Dogs barking in the distance,

A new dawn's on the rise,

I feel a sense of contentment,

When I see the fear in your eyes.

I met you as a stranger,

Considered you a friend,

A stab in the back was

How you repaid me in the end.

Every dog has its day,

You had the upper hand for years,

Now you're reduced to nothing,

Nothing but a vale of tears.

I could have been your best friend,

Instead of enemy,

You chose the side you,

Really wanted to have me.

Love turned to hatred,

Faster than you blink an eye,

This truly ain't the way I,

Planned our last Goodbye.

Charms
This stemmed from betrayal I had to face some years ago. I try to turn every situation into a poem, it helps me calm my nerves and stops me from whacking people to a pulp. Okay the last part is a joke.
