What's the FutureA Poem by CharlyeMonroeStole the title from a book on the table next to me, the full title, what's the future of business by Brian Solis
Put the past out of your head and relax your mind
I'm a tree hugged Not true I Tree killer He calls me because I like to read books Stay in next Friday night and do some shopping New life next time Take two The inappropriate phone calls we make at 3 am Elbow hyper extended No blood spilled Scratch behind my ear from concrete rub Ruler What have you given me Different lengths for our thrills Direct eye contact Prove a point Challenges sore loser If it was that far what's the hurry Tired and want to take a bullet I'm making me anxious with all this pillow talk Bag of bricks and mortar Pour me a frame Pebbles say something Ones like that only roll off the assembly line Never said we were perfect Not dead yet as the angel says Talking to me in devil tongue Rung and break through my form Every fire needs fuel to beat back temptation Face value Like a coin Blank back side Priceless presence I can't comprehend the spin of the world stopping I'll know it when I feel it though Cop outside to protect and serve and place Sorting what we don't understand Increase demand Find another day job Stop drinking in a crowd Cry out loud and don't repeat Take abundance and spread the wealth Wear the clothes I buy myself © 2013 CharlyeMonroe |
