2/21A Poem by CharlyeMonroeWritten after English breakfast with German tourists and Canadian couple
Assault rifling through my papers
What made me bow against my grandmother's husband he said turn down that noise Holding ground I would rather drift into traffic Stop Light green Stop Now ask if I'm okay What if I say no? Smother your new flame Smoldering where I live now, you call it holy fire Hell hath all the fury Revenge plots Fruitless cursing bully Be a better victim, that's what I'm in for Don't need to shoot him down to stand for what I believe in Recurring charges And I'm in that bed on fire And I'm in the sheets soaking wet Trouble maker I've been talking bout her all day You read any good books lately Small talk I've been better, you know Blue Don't really remember when I switched Stir crazy Endsville is burning © 2013 CharlyeMonroe |
