The globes hadn’t graced the sky in months, the magnetic field keeping them tethered disintegrated, they drifted like helium balloons out of sight till one day, pop, the crystal ships rained down like comets. Day and night the molten orbs shot back down to earth like huge glowing hailstones, their glow even brighter than before like they had scooped up a drink from the sun on their journey out of the atmosphere. In interviews you would grant upon being captured before breaking out, your growing knowledge of the extent of the rather gruesome thing that happened when these meteorites hit human beings was amusing at best. People always played with fire anyway. It was lost on you that those wanting to work the power structure why they would build it as such. Your were onto better things.
