Oversized aprons around their necks ready for the feast to begin in earnest Fasting I sit for employment Lasting moments Momenta screeching halt Outside my window the city noise ceases to amaze Mr. Lonely He leaves this place with a smile knowing there is a kindred spirit in we Better looking with my hand in hers Nerves are still Exposure like late evening light After the sun goes down and that sliver silvers the horizon Packing everything I own Pulling rank and file Flirting with the mastery of my life Little feet the size of my hand Phase shift This is the time of the piece where we make some changes Say never again will I sell my tools for chimp change Monkey money as it were © 2013 CharlyeMonroe |
