The Knockouts: #Metapoet 1 of 3

A Poem by CharlyeMonroe
"

This is one of three metapoems from The Knockouts, an exercise in image appropriation, the images associated with the poems of The Knockouts exist in three sets, from those sets these poems were born

"
the news dynasty
ginger, we buy diamonds as well as manuscripts
cinderella’s killer set
just tell me what i want to hear
i don’t do this much
f**k french chicks
with gnashing teeth and blood on my skin
decay is beauty
post katrina
made you smile
you put ‘o’ in me
i’d venture to guess they get dressed together
in the same mirror no less
you are listening
f****t
i smothered my child with a security blanket
and you are fish food
so, you want to hear a love story?
let us go again
blow on it
i have felt incredible capable
cream and vermillion
c’est ce que c’est
promise i’ll come back and help
i thought you should know
why can’t it always be like this?
i admit the habit is hard to break
boys like me
a hero ain’t nothin but a sandwich
a professional nomad
in the pressence of real life
f**k my past life
i wish
digital note pad green
i just like to work
charlye work
i bet you will really like that
trust in our transparency
you are perfect
funny i start this way
these are the hours when i am at my best
