A Poem by CharlyeMonroe
"

Number 40 of The Knockouts

"
These are the hours when I am at my best
I don’t think I will ever sleep again
I remember a tangent I went on
“Every one of them”
Okay computer
This is what TN meant
Meaningless now in my head
Waterfeatures
I don’t recall
Totally
Gravity
Over the edge in free fall
This is what those dreams are about
Enter twice and I’m consumed
Mother’s milk seems sick
Lactose
Discerene
Ity bity me
Lefty by my side
My other left
And I could do this all night
That is a lie
I could do this until the battery runs out
Park slope
Semantic
Give me the slip
Pink thoughts the grey matter
Broken myself into pieces
Always loved a good puzzle
The blind spot
Hiccup
Involentary
Volunteers
Draft
5 am whispers
Transcendence
Broke my own heart
Over the thesis
Same old s**t
Bashed in store front windows
Church
Baptized in broken glass
