A Poem by CharlyeMonroe
"

Number 9 from The Knockouts

"
Common element between clotting agent auto
In breath
Fuss over how you wear your hair
Buns or ribbons
Let fingers play through to sand trap
Quick to have me encased in plastic
Soul sticky
Gumming works
Low pressure system
Post Katrina
The Russian nesting dolls
From bad to best
A handful
Squeeze together
Shake
On needle point
Tails of our lives like diamonds
Solid skin flawless
Snowflakes on my tongue

“But I can breath underwater”
Black ice
Hold me under
Count down from numbers
Cornfield high and shoulders
Square set
Sex is better in the afternoon
That second o

Clock feeling lust
The midday tripper’s work
All the while our names flash across the screen
Lake land
Knee high and rising so we swim
