A Poem by CharlyeMonroe
"

Number 2 from The Knockouts

"
Story stones
A hard copy of conception
From dust till dust
And back from the ashes
“Pardon”
From hand till hand print
Post delivery
140 character mystique
There is a natural flow to the way words come into existence
Ones in my headband
You are a dead man in heavy shoes
But we have good news

“Ginger, we buy diamonds as well as manuscripts”
Altruistic in his concerns

Never learned the difference between me and you except penis
Dividing line partition
Brown heels and a hard walk to make a mother keep up
Catch up on the turn around
Green piece of fabric draped over shoulders
Juiced
Grapefruit tones tongue consistency
It is a problem for some people
Kissed her on the lips and got to the airport early
Entry through security
Scrutiny minimal
Charges to the game plan
Pattern prose

They get the most of a spare
Pair of spades
“I dig this”
Bridges and the overpass
Under tow
Truck sirens make the night like fireworks
Stop motion and you see it
Photographs tip toe around reality
Tip over and spill
Still hair sticking to my clothes
She goes back home
Through the clouds and over rainbow
Spectrum separation
No relation to canine
Supine
Play the scales down her spine and rib cage
Something amazing baby
All clad
The embers of splendor
