On dead queer folk

On dead queer folk

A Poem by Charly-o
"

A short(ish) poem on my frustration at the 'kill your gay's' trope

"
I'm sick of burying my idols
is this all we'll ever be?
where's our happy ever after?
our plotline immortality?

Just because I'm not straight
does it mean I have to die
I mean even Alexander
aimed his pistol at the sky

I'm taking happy ever after
I'm going to live and die happy
show them it can be done
rebelling in my own way

I want to be more than a minor fiction tragedy

About
I write a lot, and just wanted to put some of it out there. A lot of my stuff is meant to be spoken word, so won't always have the effect I was going for in type, but oh well :) more..
