Vanity

Vanity

A Poem by Quill~

Break the mirror into pieces,
Kiss the heel of Sexy,
Say "good bye."
Vanity no longer idolized,
She mutilates her own reflection,
Her face no longer recognized.
She breaks the mold; hidden in disguise,
Crush the vertebrae of deception,
A refreshing reinvention,
She starts anew...

lol it's not that bad. :))
Wow, this is amazing. I can not say how awesome this is. There are often people that are all about their looks and disguise who they really are. We have mirrors to tell us daily who we truly are. Sometimes we get lost in the world with the others and forget that we aren't really being ourselves. Some people do not know the REAL person that wears heels and walks around flaunting themselves. You did a lovely job!

Maybe this should be featured this week? Hmmm?
We all must stomp the mirror from time to time. Still, it is not in breaking the mirror the reflection is changed.

:) thanks, you know me Nicky...I'm glad you liked this piece.
A marvelous piece of hope and renewal. I loved the aliteration of the penultimate line and the image of "crush the vertebrae of deception". Well penned.
I get the feeling that the stronger woman who emerges after this is so much more interesting than the one who hid behind a mask.
Very nicely done.

Dare I ask how so?
Such a powerful write here Quill, as the woman with high heels, has enough of it.
In short ways, you've said so much. Loved it.
