Winter Queen

In the spirit of winter...

Whispering wind, be still…to listen,
from a distance the voice of an angel sings,
floating in the air, her frosted breath glistens,
a mist of gentle hymns cover the ethereal night,
weaving her winter reverie…
everywhere, sprinkling diamonds of ice,
dusting the wings of an icicle fairy,
the Winter queen comes to life.

Not crazy about winter, but your poem could make a person fall in love with winter. Now I begin to understand those who live in snowy climes, when you make it look & feel so beautiful. But I'll take my 80* February days in California & leave winter to the imagination! *smile*
