and tell me dear moon

and tell me dear moon

A Poem by Charlie Drake

And tell me, dear moon, of the stars

In between the lies-

Where tomorrow is today

Where dreams

Weren’t ever dreamt

    Tell me of the darkness

    Behind an oval sphere.

And tell me, dear moon,

About an anchor    attached

To you and to me

Carrying us through sustenance

    If there is any

Tell me of the secrets we carry

The ones you know

But I don’t

Or maybe that neither of us do

But can’t see behind the darkness

This is interesting. I don't think my mind is ready to grasp the beauty of this poem until I've read it a few more times (lol), but I can tell you now I appreciate the rhyme and sentiment behind it. :)
