Lossing You

Lossing You

A Poem by CharlieO
"

Just something I wrote in five minutes in a lecture.

"

I miss knowing I can call,

friday nights in,

holding hands,

kissing last thing at night,

and first thing in the morning.

I miss knowing there will be a face to greet me.

I miss watching T.V. cuddled up,

arms wrapped round me on cold nights,

having someone to dance with,

someone who will watch my films

and tolerates my music.

I miss having someone to turn off the alarm,

and curl back into.

Someone to belong to.

I miss having someone to read my words.

I know there are some mistakes in this. It really is more about getting something on the site after such a long time and also a way of thinking through my feelings.

Ohhhh, what a sad poem! It's not what it says but rather, what it doesn't say. There's a wistful, poignant ring to it.

' I miss having someone to turn off the alarm, / and curl back into. / Someone to belong to. '

'Don't suppose my reading this makes you feel any better, but, 'missed your lovely poetry.
