Purple Haze

Purple Haze

A Poem by Charlie Hawthorne

Golden moon reflection, half moon perfection

Sliver of light, a dark purple night

Eyes and a smile, continues for miles

Rose red blush, soft to the touch

Long blue sleeves, crunchy red leaves

Fingers in lace, laughter of Grace

Faith in a leap, Love runs deep

Breeze with a nip, pink nose tips

Loving the fall, feeling it all

Home in sight, and pause for the night.

This flows and is written so well. I like the first lines:
"Golden moon reflection, half moon perfection
Sliver of light, a dark purple night"
It paints a picture of the perfect Autumn night. Nicely done.

I think I started taking writing seriously when I was 13. I go through periods in my life where I write a lot and become inspired easily, but I also go through times when my creative juices do not see.. more..
