A Diamond is ForeverA Poem by Charlie HawthorneSometimes I didn't understand how I could love you so much. But you were there to hold my hand my everlasting crutch.
Sometimes life made me cry but you were there to hold me, refused to let my spirit die. Kept me laughing and made me see
That our friendship was something beautiful and our bond could never be severed. Like mates to the soul we were diamonds meant to last forever.
I will be there on your wedding day silently objecting. Because no one will be good enough to stay or meet what I'm expecting.
Together we will grow old and listen to every story until all our secrets are all told. And when our spirits begin to flee
And we draw near our last breath I will always remember the times I shared with my Best Friend. I will not fear death and remember that this could never be goodbye.
And when I look back on my life I'll wonder
Why I didn't understand how I could love you so much. It was because you were there to hold my hand and be my everlasting crutch.

I go through periods in my life where I write a lot and become inspired easily, but I also go through times when my creative juices do not see.. more..Writing
