Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms

A Poem by Charlie Hawthorne

Falling, falling to the ground.

And my heart begins to pound..

Breaking free from mother earth,

of that I was once bound.

Falling, falling faster still.

Struggling to face time's will.

My life left upon sandy surf,

racing for my life's fill.

Finally I hit the ground.

My body beaten and broken down.

Searching for my rebirth,

hearing nothing but the sound

of the wind

calling me back to flight.
