If I had all the money in the world

If I had all the money in the world

A Story by Charles Stewart

If I had All The Money In The World
For Grant

If I had all the money in the world, I'd buy you the universe, to tell you how sorry I am. for the man I have become is the king of lies, he craves to be alone but craves the touch of another. His desires are scattered and his thoughts contain many things. But the one thought that he cannot bear to part with is the thought that he was truly loved, his beauty was never ugly and as he wrote the words goodbye his blue silky eyes filled up with tears. Was this sadness or was this the feeling of losing a loved one? If I had all the money in the world, I'd buy you a silver ring I saw in a glass window, shoes I saw in a shoe store and redemption for my past mistakes. But money can't buy me love, I did that on my own and I'm too tired to fight tonight, I'm too tired to close my eyes and imagine a world without you. Baby I'm down to my last
cigarette and I should tell you that I'm full of regrets. I should have given you a life time guarantee of kisses, of life long wishes, And it's true I miss you so much tonight, like I always do.
If I had all the money in the world, I'd buy you a plane to the edge of heaven, and my edge of heaven is when you smile and say, ' I'd marry you in a heartbeat.' My heart beat is half a second and that's all the time I'll need. And as I write this your probably asleep, dreaming about the time when I swept you off your feet, and I didn't even need a broom. Baby I can't explain how much you've made me feel like a man and everyday I get to see you as much as I can. Sleeping next to you I feel like I'm floating, who knew that an angel could make me wish that I could wrap you up in something that I get to call my everything. If I had all the money in the world I'd buy you happiness, but even money couldn't buy you a smile or your red rosy cheeks. And I knew right from the start that falling in love with you would hurt, but I ventured further and am trying to walk with broken legs, I let you sink into my veins and now I feel the pain. And I can't let you go because I just have to let you know...If I had all the money in the world, I'd buy you a better place to live, where there would be no bruises seen coming. I'd take you to another planet because your so foreign, and your galactic body is out of this world.
