Where my treasure lie'sA Poem by Charlie! What do you value above all?
My life is a mystery, my life is a maze,
I search through the labyrinth, I search all my days. I wander, I ponder, I cut through the haze, I search for the center, where my treasure lays. I solve every riddle, all secrets know I, But yet I know nothing, I wonder me why. Still closer I draw, my center is nigh, Just right round the corner, where my treasure lie's. Where my treasure lie's, on mountain tops high, Beneath the deep ocean, where darkness abides, Within the green forest, where flower's reside, In heaven's above, where angels do fly. Where my treasure lie's, where my treasure lie's, I realize this day, where my treasure lie's. It's not in the heaven's, it's not in the skies, Nor in the green forest, where flower's reside, Nor in the deep ocean, or mountain tops high, It's within mine heart, it's within my mine mind, It's within each question, each answer I find Each soul that I bless, Each demon I bind. Where my treasure lie's, where my treasures lie's, The world is my treasure, a world that is mine, A world that yet laughs, a world that yet cries, The world I behold, with mine very eyes. Where my treasure lie's, where my treasure lie's, Is in my hello's, is in my goodbye's, For everything's sacred, and everything dies, So I live in this moment , where my treasure lie's. © 2016 Charlie! |
