Half Sleep

Half Sleep

A Poem by Charley Dominic

Rising from the eternal boggle that is sleep,
Rubbing the crusted drowsiness from my eyes,
I see a split second imprint of a face upon the wall,
Screw my hands to fists, bow my head in pain,
Brush my knuckles hard against the cold stone,
That makes up the harsh prison of my mind,

(And your on my mind)

Breathed upon the hair-line cracks of doubt,
That run edge-ways along the damp walls,
Traced a shadow line across the insanity,
And sighed as the remaining light snuffed out,
To be replaced by the chilling echo of day,
And a ragged half night of torment,

(Your in my head)

Always...

I agree with Kim.
This was very good, I liked it a lot.

I feel trapped, like.. trapped in a sense that you have some secret that you can't or won't express.
That was just my interpretation, though.
