Happy Oblivion

Happy Oblivion

A Poem by Charley Dominic

Away from the noise, the fake light cast,
Away from the people, alone at last
Now i can be in, happy oblivion,
Left in peace, my own delusion

Let the waters flow, the sun light shine,
Let everything i touch become mine,
This is my world, my illusion,
I’ve made my own, happy oblivion

The smell of the grass, the wind through the trees,
The glorious summer, the gentle breeze,
But i know soon enough, winter will come
And thats the last, of my happy oblivion

Author's Note

Charley Dominic
A co written piece with my friend Molly, basicly i had this phrase circling my head for weeks "happy oblivion" and no matter where i placed it in a poem, it never fitted. But she helped me find a place for it.
