Final Waltz

Final Waltz

A Poem by Charley Dominic

Masked dancers twirling past,
A world full of contrast,
Holding my shadow partner dear,
I brush off a silver tear,

Our moving feet, leaving a track,
Throughout this ballroom, all black,
One final waltz before the end,
before our parallel roads we ascend,

One last glance at your face,
Then we must leave this place,
As the midnight bell does chime,
We unclasp our hands, for the last time,
